Half duration for groups of notes

It would be wonderful if only you could select several measures of notes, and make all the notes half duration, and put them all together, without any rests in between! Also vice versa.

This would be helpful if I had to change the time signature from 2/4 to 2/2, which I did, once.

  How about basic computer tools to:

  1. bulk change note values

  2. Retrograde

  3. Invert

  After all the whole point of having data in a application is the ability to manipulate it,

  This would be so helpful also for doubling the duration of notes without having any disappear due to the change in duration. Basically, a setting where changing the duration of notes just shifts the overall pattern without losing the number of notes.

  I join the others in their request. It would be nice to be able to halve or double the duration of the notes in all (or in a group) of measures while automatically either halving/doubling the time signature or doubling/halving the measures.
