Triplet figures
I'm having a hard time writing triplet figures that go over two beats rather than one. In other words: I'm writing in 4/4 time, and in one particular bar I want a total of two triplet figures that will take up the entire four beats. However, the software seems to interpret each triplet figure as taking only one beat -- which means that after I've finished putting in all the notes I want for that bar, the software is automatically inserting rests at the end of the bar, which I don't want and can'f figure out how to delete.

Something I found that helped:
I write a half-rest and select it, and then I press "3" (shortcut for a triplet, I think it's the default.) Then it gives me a triplet over 2 beats. I also found using a half-note works. Say the triplet starts on an A, then I'd put in an A half-note, select it, and press "3". This makes the first note of the triplet an A and the others are rests until you fill them in. Hope this helps!
PS: If you use this with a dotted half-note, it'll say something along the lines of "this can already be split into three without a triplet" since you can use quarter-notes. Same for anything else that can be split evenly, eg. a quarter-note into 4.
