what is up with the glissando feature?

This gliss

a. hurts my ears (sounds bad and is poorly timed, which may just be my opinion)

b. doesn't slide as EVERYONE needs it too

c. is completely useless at the state it's in.

So Noteflight, PLEASE fix this obvious problem in your program and make making good music doable. Thank you.
