Two fantastic options would be the option to select the number of strings for each instrument and the tuning for each string.

I'd love to be able to tab for a 5 string or 6-string basses, for example, using standard tunings or dropped/alternate tunings.  Adding in adjustable tuning for each string would open the door to tabs for 12-string guitars, 8+ string basses and even the Bass VI guitar/bass.

  As someone who transcribes a lot of different tunings on a mix of 4/5 string bass parts, I would love an easier way to change tunings etc (which I can't for the life of me work out how to do on here - coming from a Guitar Pro background).

  I use StavenTabs for charts that require Tabs. It allows you to use alternate tunings and also individual string tunings, for 4, 5, 6, & 7 string basses. The way you enter the notes on the staff is a little different than NoteFlight. You enter them on the fretboard itself or piano, that way the tabs always match the note and rhythm on the staff. Tabs in Noteflight are basically an afterthought and don't work very well. Why would I be able to have a different note in the staff and in the tab for the same beat? 
  I just noticed you can change tunings in NoteFlight. in the Parts menu, click on the little headstock icon.
