Elementary Music Notation - consistent beat/barline spacing

Please provide a setting that allows me to force all barlines and beats to line up vertically and consistently.  It is really important for my students to see that visual relationship between the note values and measures.  Two eighth notes should take up the same horizontal space as four sixteenth notes, as a quarter note, etc. - regardless of lyrics or other, more nuanced notation rules. 

I'd really like to stop making my master copies and classroom visuals by dragging shapes (ovals, lines, in groups) around in powerpoint.

  Did you provide this way of bar lines and rhythm lining up vertically?

  I agree on both counts. These are both important. I'm just getting started, but in the long run I will us the stick notation as well, and I've already run into the eighth/sixteenth notes and lyrics problem.

  Yes, I would like to set the number of bars per line. Often we have phrases of 4 or 8 bars and it makes it easier to follow if the part can be structured that way.

  Guys, I think I figured it out! Under Layout > System Break. The shortcut is the Enter button. So on the 4th measure, click Enter, and it should move everything down to the next line.

  I too need a setting that allows me to force all barlines and beats to line up vertically and consistently. My students need to compare different rhythm patterns, one over the other, and see were notes line up or don't in time.
