Allow Cross-Staff Beaming, Arpeggios, Slurs

This is an important feature of piano music, when a voice moves from one staff to the other. Maybe an option to insert a middle voice into a piano part?

    Yes, this is much needed! Noteflight is amazing, but cross-staff beaming is vital!

    I Totally agree, a crucial feature for writing Piano-scores.
    Updates in NF in general seem to emerge rather seldom, though....

    I certainly think that cross-staff beaming is necessary, especially for pieces like Chopin´s Waterfall Etude, Op. 10, No 1.

    Also, it would be great if simple arpeggio marks could cross both staves, as it is performed differently than two separate arpeggios on left- and righthand parts.

    Yes; I especially need the slurs because I am writing some piano arpeggios and want to make it clear that the line/slur goes through both hands and doesn't stop and start when switching hands.

    There's arpeggios, and slurs, but no Cross-Staff beaming, as said. We need cross-staff beaming! I've been looking for websites (no download) that have cross-staff beaming. Make this search end by adding cross-staff beaming by 2024.

     

    There Should be :

    Start Cross-beam - starts a cross-beam voice

    Continue cross-beam - continue cross-beam voice

    I'm still paying $20 a month to use Sibelius because of this ONE MISSING FEATURE!!! Sibelius is the worst software I've ever used. I hate it. My soul is crushed every time I open it. I cry at night when I think about it. But Noteflight can't do this incredibly essential thing. Will Noteflight ever hear our cries of woe??

    This is basic and essential for piano composers and arrangers, not just a "nice to have". I've been a NF user for over 10 years, so I've been waiting for this that long. I have been able to get away with not having it simply because I only use my scores for myself and my students... but I'm about to start selling to the internet at large and I don't want to publish scores that look unprofessional without this feature. Please please please and thanks!

    This one is really important!! As everyone else has said, for piano music. It helps to clean up the score more as well.

    I’m a music student doing a lot of composing. I’ve had a class where they take any notation software, and I bought noteflight premium because it was what I knew best and easiest to use. However, when I told my composition professor about the inability of NoteFlight to do cross-staff beaming (as well as bracketing of parts, but that’s another topic) she said it was an essential element of notation software and I should switch programs.

    I agree. I was trying to write a piano part for a piece that I want to look professional, and I really needed cross-staff beaming to communicate the flow of the piece. It just doesn’t work without it, and I’ll probably end up writing a different line entirely because of it, because it is that essential. It is changing how I write, and not in a good way. Please noteflight, hear our pleas!

    Yes! This is a much-needed improvement to Noteflight! And don't forget about cross-staff glissandos, too!

    Just wanting to add my voice to everyone elses. Being able to cross-staff beams, is vital to writing for the piano. The left and right hands are afterall, playing one instrument!

    Hmm please share a screenshot? Also cross staff slurs are different from beams (though to my knowledge, Noteflight doesn't do cross-staff slurs either)

    I literally cannot believe Noteflight still hasn't fixed this by the way. Screaming into the void. Again. Perpetually. Please, Noteflight!!!
