Change Default Beaming
I wonder if there could be a way of adding a menu that lets you set a default beaming for eighth notes, etc. Currently, Noteflight defaults to beaming single beats which is not standard practice for professional engraving, and it's a pain having to manually group together eighths in the way that you want them. This is especially bad for irregular time signatures like 7/8.
One way to do it could be to add additional dropdown menus to the existing time signature menu asking how many notes you want grouped together in a given subdivision (i.e., one dropdown prompting you to select eighths, sixteenths, etc., and another asking how many of those eighths/sixteenths/etc. you want beamed together). This solution would only work for regular time signatures, though—you wouldn't be able to do something like 4+3 for a 7/8 time signature.
Another way could be to have a "dummy" bar filled with detached eighth/sixteenth/etc. notes (which could again be changed via dropdown menu), for which you could manually set the beaming so that the beaming of the dummy bar applied to the whole score. This way, you could have uneven groupings in a bar like 4+3 or 3+3+2.
