Adding different sounds on one line

It would be extremely helpful if I could do some of the following things.

1. Add claps or finger snaps to instrumental parts in band, orchestra and choral arrangements.

2. Have percussionists switch instruments partway through a piece. For example, a player could play crash cymbals at the start of a piece, then switch to woodblock in the middle, and then return to cymbals near the end.
