Add Harmonica holes numbers as guide text
I would love to have Harmonica holes text added above the notes, as a guide to help the player know which hole he has to blow (or draw). Somewhat similar to guitar support, which tells the player which string to play and which fret to press to get the desired note.
There are two general kinds of harmonicas: Diatonic and Chromatic, and each of these have few types: Diatonic harmonicas have several types, each type has notes at a different diatonic scale (such as: C, D, F scale). And Chromatic harmonicas (which have a button for adding 1/2 tone) have several types based on the amount of holes they have (10, 12, 14 or 16 holes).
It would be great if the user could choose his harmonica model, and based on that he will be able to see above each note a number telling the hole number he should blow. Because harmonica can be played both by "blowing" and "drawing" air, one of the convention is that a positive number represents "blowing" (for example: 5: should blow on hole 5), and a negative number represents "drawing" (for example: -5: should draw on hole 5). There are also other conventions as well (for pressing the 1/2-tone button on the Chromatic Harmonica for playing sharp (#) notes, and conventions for "bending" notes on the simpler Diatonic harmonica that can change the tone by special "bending" technique, which change the note by 1/2 or 1 tone, depending on the amount of bending).
Adding those as an optional guide text layer would be absolutely great, and very helpful for players!
The notes of each harmonica type is well known, so mapping a note to a "hole number" should be pretty simple once the user chooses his harmonica type.
Thanks,
Koby
