Coloring in spaces on staff

I am hoping that you can add a function that would identify and allow for adding color to the spaces on the staff. I am working on music for visually impaired students, and this allows them to separate and process information on the page better. It would also be helpful if there was a way to color in the space between the double bar lines at the end of a piece or where it indicates a repeat for an entire section. I am new to this software and still learning, but I have not been able to find this feature if it already exists. This would be a huge step in being able to adapt music notation to the way the students learn, making it accessible to far more people.

Additionally, having an outline on notes that have changed color, would make it easier to identify lighter color notes, like yellow, once changed.
