numbering lyric verses

I REALLY REALLY wish there was a way to number each verse of lyrics to a song. Currently, I have to do this awkward thing of adding dots after the verse number since I can't add a space after the number on the first beat. For now, I compensate by writing

"1...The"

for the first beat, but it looks unprofessional. I wish Noteflight would recognize that I'm trying to number the verse and put it before the first beat so that there would be a space after the number like

"1.  The"

Can you help, Noteflight?

  You can use the + sign to create a space in lyrics. Try typing "1.+The" and it should appear as "1. The".
