Muting Guitar Strings

I can't figure out how to add muted guitar strings when writing tabs. It doesn't allow me to add an X alongside a number for a fingered note that is muted, if that makes sense. For instance, I can use an X on an open note but not if I want a muted note on fret 7. This would be a handy feature to have. Thanks!
