One-lined Notation
Hi everyone (and Noteflight Team),
I'm an avid Noteflight user, mostly because of the neat visuals and an accidental 'feature' of this notation program: My musicians and I don't use the regular five-lined-notation, but a slightly different way of notating music by Puck. It basically allows for any melody to be played by any instrument and in any key and only requires one line. It's basics are explained here: https://youtu.be/DC-lYX4TpEw. For anyone new to this concept: Give it a go. It's really helpful, no matter whether you're a professional or an amateur musician.
What we do is writing the music in ordinary notation, then change the instrument to 'Sleigh Bell'. What is a bit tiresome is that we have to add ledger lines afterwards in photoshop, which actually takes more time than just entering the notes alone. Could you, the Noteflight development team, make it so that the ledger lines do appear here? This would be saving us a ton of time and make Noteflight even more valuable to us. The alternative is Musescore, which does have the ledger lines, but is altogether far slower and less enjoyable to work with...
My musicians and I are eager to be hearing back from you... Keep up the good work & cheers!
Felix
