Inserting Lyrics into Simple Piano Arrangements
I write simple piano arrangements and would like to be able to keep the lyrics for the songs in the center of the grand staff when the voicing switches from treble to bass clef. (A lot of these arrangements have melodies that are centered around middle C.) When I try to put in lyrics for the bass clef notes, they are automatcially placed below the notes. When I use the layout tool to move them above the notes, the grand staff gets streched out vertically and the lyrics for the treble clef staff are higher than the lyrics for the bass clef staff. Can you make an option for keeping all of the lyrics aligned in the center of the grand staff?

I 100% agree with this! I'm frustrated with the exact same thing right now. Noteflight, if you need an example, I can take pictures of literally a hundred published songs that have this kind of formatting (where the piano plays the melody in both top and bottom voices, but the words stay in the middle of the staff). Without this formatting option, it makes it impossible to submit my songs to children's choirs or to my church. Please please please make this a possibility!

Hey, I have success!! After submitting a support request, I got this info back from Noteflight:
"You should be able to manually move lyrics above or below the staff by selecting the lyric(s), and then clicking 'Move Above' or 'Move Below' from the 'Layout' palette."**I tried it out and it worked great. I programmed it to a hot-key, so I just have to click a line of lyrics and hit Ctrl+B and it drops it down to the middle. Yay!**

Hi there - did this actually fix the issue with lyrics not appearing in middle of the grand stave? I'm using the 'Move Above' command, and I'm still left with lyrics (which have been allocated to bass clef notes) not aligned with lyrics allocated to the treble clef. Perhaps I'm missing something?
