Adjustable tremolo markings

We need to have the ability to slide the tremolo markings up and down the stem of notes. When writing drumline music the diddle, or single tremolo slash, is almost hidden by the beam(s). I understand that may be where tremolo will start, however, in actual practice it is not where it is placed.
