Seconded. This would also be hackable for use as banjo tab, which is another feature sorely missing. Please add these, Noteflight!

    Hello Noteflight,

I can write out an electric bass part on the bass clef option provided. I notice there's an option for guitar where you get the traditional staff and the tablature staff. I would like that for bass guitar as well because so many students come to me only knowing tabs and I'd like to make a bridge for them to start learning traditional notation, this hybrid form would come in handy for sure. I think for four string bass as well as for five string. please make a hybrid option. or tell me if you've already done that, how I can access it. thank you. I'm new to your program but really loving it!!!!!

I have the exact same question as gnellybasslessons : I want to be able to input standard notes for a bass part and then get bass tabs for the music.

Can this be done right now? I've been surfing the help topics and not finding the answer.

Absolutely, but only for 4 or 6 string.
Write it on a regular clef, and make an instrument that uses TAB, then just copy and paste the notes on, and it will figure out the 'best' tabs for it (always prioritising low fret numbers, even when there are better groupings).

It still cannot be done for 3/5/7/etc string instruments, which is a huge pain, and shouldn't be a big challenge.
