I think that it would be a great idea to have the ability to use irregular meters, like 3+2+2/8 (a subdivision of 7/8). Maybe it would be cool if the meters were able to be customized so you can create pieces with obscure rhythmic patterns.

  I completely agree! I'd like to be able to subdivide 9-8 into 2-2-2-3 and can find no way to do it.  The only option is 3-3-3

  That helps with the subdivision in 9/8, but not so much with the OP. I'd like to write an unmetered piece without bar lines, but I can't seem to do so. Any chance of that somewhere down the line? Regardless, Noteflight is amazing!

  Every Noteflight score does require a time signature, however you can change the time signature for each measure to fit the amount of notes necessary and then set that time signature's visibility to "Hidden."

  You can then use the "System Break" to have one measure per line of music.
