Insert a double bar within a measure without the system adding an additional measure number

With many hymns, the chorus starts within a measure and not at the beginning of the next measure. The hymn indicates the chorus by adding a double bar within the measure right before the chorus begins. Noteflight can do this, but when this is done an additional measure number is added where the double bar begins. When writing a descant for the hymn, this causes the number of measures in the hymn to be one less than the number of measures in the descant. It would be much better if the system would not add the extra measure number. This would make the hymn and the descant for the hymn to have measures/numbers that are consistent with each other.
