Differentiation of duplicate instruments

Whenever there are duplicate instruments playing the same note in a score, the volume increases but they do not differ timbrally. This could be achieved by adding a very slight change in pitch as more instruments with the same timbre are added (for example: four trumpets, six violins, etc.)
