Is there a way to make a part only play the second time?

I am genuinely confused about this. I want it to be an option if it isn't already because it would mean we could save a lot of space (and ink) by making a phrase repeat, then adding more things on top of the phrase after making them play second time only. Does anyone agree with me on this?

  I agree, I have "cued" notes where one verse of a song has a slightly different rhythm than another verse due to extra/fewer words in the lyrics based on the verse.

  This would be a great feature. I have a repeat section with two different solos and want to control 1st time and 2nd time instruments.

  this is needed though you can write with performance text and instruct your musicians.
