You can use any MIDI controller/keyboard that connects to a computer via USB with Noteflight.
At this time MIDI controller capability is only supported in Google Chrome.
To start you need to make sure your Google Chrome browser is completely shut down before plugging your MIDI controller's USB cord into your computer. This is because Google Chrome only recognizes MIDI devices upon startup. Alternatively, you can connect your MIDI controller first and then restart your device.
Once you open Google Chrome, the browser will automatically recognize your MIDI controller and you are all set to start using it with any of your scores on www.noteflight.com!
With your MIDI controller, you can enter notes and chords into your scores any time that you would use the mouse or computer keyboard to input notes. Select the measure or note where you want the notes to appear, and start using your controller. Visit our User Guide for more on using a MIDI controller for step entry.
Noteflight also allows you to play a performance on your MIDI controller so that it transcribes into notation.
You can visit our User Guide for full instructions on using our Transcribe feature with your MIDI controller.
